Superhero Clint

- as told by Clint's mom

5 year old Clint was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma (liver cancer) in January of 2017. After 4 rounds of aggressive chemo therapy, the tumor didn't shrink enough to safely resection his liver so he was listed with Seattle Children's hospital for a new liver.

On April 19th, he received his new liver and his body thrived! Unfortunately, he had to finish chemo treatment.  At the end of May,  the final round of chemo sent his body into a tailspin. He ended up back in the hospital with hemorrhagic shock, reversed blood flow in his liver, acute kidney damage and a fungal infection in his lungs.

As of September 1st, most of his body is still slowly recovering, but his liver is in bad shape. Clint is going to be re-listed for another new liver.  This little boy is amazing and so strong! Continued chemo caused devastating complications.  Clint earned his angel wings October 12, 2017.

So young and yet so mighty in spirit. We got to know you for just a little while. You put up quite a fight, but are now free from pain. Free to be just a kid.
